Happy Birthday To You Dad
Though my dad and my relationship can be bumpy at times I love him. My favorite memory of my dad is when I was little, he would read the Lord of The Rings to me every night before I went to bed. He told me there is magic everywhere, and that sometimes we just get to caught up to see it. I still believe that to this day. I used to love listening to his voice when he read, I loved to fall asleep listening to his voice. I still believe he has the best story telling voice.
Here are some facts about Kim Grace:
He swears like a sailor...maybe worse...
Whenever I would go to my dad crying about something, he would look at me tenderly and say "There, there, shut up."
He loves to be outside, and to camp.
He is a cowboy at heart.
He loves spicy foods, old westerns, and fishing.
He loves his motorcycles.
Although, he may have a temper at times, he is very soft hearted, he cries during sentimental movies. (He'll never admit to it)
He collects knives.
He takes the best pictures of wild life.
He makes sure that my mom and I can count on baked apple turn-overs every Sunday morning.
He is excellent with his hands, and at welding.
If you ever need a favor he will do all he can to help you. Really, he got a hernia last year helping one of our neighbor's with their yard that had flooded.
I love you Dad! Happy Birthday!!!!!!!

Happy Birthday Ashley!
Ashley Otteson has been my best friend ever since I can remember। She is my partner in crime, together we were relentless when it came to pranks. I also remember that for along time we looked so much alike that we would trick people into thinking we were twins. We soon became known as the "Ashley Twins" all through out Mesa.
Happy Cinco De Mayo/ Happy Birthday Dad - Ashley - Uncle Kevin!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
May fifth is definitely a day that is highlighted on my calendar....or at least it would be if I had one. Not only is it Cinco De mayo, but it is my Dad's birthday, my Uncles Birthday, and my best friend Ashley O's birthday! I am going to give each of them their own entry though.

Spring: My Favorite Season
The air was full of sun and birds,
The fresh air sparkled clearly.
Remembrance wakened in my heart
And I knew I loved her dearly.
The fallows and the leafless trees
And all my spirit tingled.
My earliest thought of love, and Spring's
First puff of perfume mingled.
In my still heart the thoughts awoke,
Came lone by lone together -
Say, birds and Sun and Spring, is Love
A mere affair of weather?
Spring Song by Robert Louis Stevenson
As I walked down my street the other day I was escorted by hundreds of trees all in bloom, sprouting tulips and daffodils, the sound of baby birds, and the smell of fresh soil. It reconfirmed my reason why spring is my favorite season. Not only because I am in love with the blooming trees and flowers, and the cute baby animals you see everywhere, but it gives me hope. Spring is life after death, it is rebirth. No matter how harsh, cold, and dark Winter may be spring always comes. It is proof if we can hold on, push through, eventually things come around.

How fast they Grow
Its been awhile since I did a post of my duckling Henry. He is almost the size of a grown up duck, (he weighs as much as one...oh my stars I never knew that ducks weighed so much!) and I am proud to announce that Henry is a full time swimmer. Because his mother (besides me) was an incubator he did not receive the oils most ducklings receive from their mother while nesting. This oil is what allows the ducks to float, so Henry had to patiently wait until his body started producing its own natural oil. This time delay hasn't handicapped him though, he swims as naturally as any duck I have ever seen.
It is also official! Henry has hit duck puberty! Which I add if at all possible is more awkward than human puberty. The bottom half of Henry is a white mix of feathers and down, while the top half of him still remains a bit yellow and fluffy. Not only that but His voice has gone from a consistency of chirps to "Cheep, cheep quack!" "Cheep, quonk, cheep" It really is funny. Aw...my little Henry is growing up.
